Airlines Hiring
Which are the Airlines Hiring? From pretty much everything you read in flight magazines or on the internet, a lot of countries are hiring pilots and flight attendants. Specifically countries such as the USA, India, China and a lot of other Asian countries including Japan are aggressively recruiting at this time. With airlines gearing up to take advantage of the projected growth in air travel and cargo now is definitely the time to move into a career in the airlines if this is something you would like to do.
If the orders for new airplanes taken by Airbus and Boeing at the recent Paris Air Show are any sort of indicator then we can expect an unprecedented boom period in the hiring of personal for positions as pilots and cabin attendants. Both companies took billions of dollars in orders and a spokesperson from Boeing was quoted as predicting a massive shortage in pilots in upcoming years due to the demand for crews to fly all these new aircraft.
With the US alone having a need for 120,000 pilots over the next ten years due to growth and upcoming retirements, major airlines have already started recalling pilots from furlough. Also one of the US major carriers is reported to have initiated plans for it’s own flying school to ensure it will have the pilots to meet the expected demand. Naturally if there is a demand for new aircraft and pilots it follows that there will also be a need for cabin attendants as well.
It is expected that the major airlines will take a lot of pilots from the regional carriers causing them to re hire from General aviation pilots. Whichever way you look at it Pilot Salaries will be getting higher in the near future.
For those wishing to work outside of the USA there is a massive Airlines Hiring taking place in China, India and the Middle Eastern countries. I believe this is the start of perhaps the biggest boom in aviation jobs the world has ever seen. Now is definitely the time to look at a career as a pilot or a cabin attendant.
